But that's my point of view, I am not one to speak for everyone.ĩ9 out of 100 times you walk into a library you won't see someone running OSX on a non apple laptop. I would rather own a proper macbook than run some dualboot with a windows laptop and Mac OS. I bought a mac because I prefer Mac OS, I purposefully bought a macbook seperate from my windows desktop because of how much more efficient it is when doing schoolwork. For someone that is tech-savvy, sure maybe it is. And Hackintoshes are not easy to setup for the average person, that is innacurate to say it is. I have a couple side businesses that don’t make enough money to make it worthwhile for me to upgrade my expensive PLC app or 32 bit app to the latest so I run these in the VM fir as long as I can.I simply disagree with all of your point of views. Plus I have MacOS VMs to run a PPC version of an app using original Rosetta in the last version of Mac OS X that supported that plus one using the last macOS that supported 32 but apps. New smart card reader support expands smart card authentication to Windows, and macOS Parallels Desktop Business Edition. Why buy a POS low end Windows machine to run a once a year Corp tax program? I don’t have space for it and using VMWare is much easier and less hassle. Personally, when I am on the road, I am much happier carrying only a single laptop. Now, if your workflow is such that some says you are at your desk working in Windows, and some days you are at your desk working in Mac, then two separate machines may be the best solution.
